While our roots are in herbalism and eastern medicine, our path has grown to include vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements more often associated with western medicine. We may no longer adhere to the teachings of Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon, but their wisdom and widespread impact continue to inspire our mission and actions.
For two millenia, a group of ancient medical texts known as Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon have been a doctrinal source for Traditional Chinese Medicine, representing a major turning point in how we think about medicinal treatments. It’s these texts that initially inspired our founder to adopt the name Yellow Emperor in 1981.
